Before we continued up to the top of the mountain, Pedro suggested we take the following photo . . . do you see anything unusual?
The last half of the hike took us to an elevation of about 8,300 feet (David had a watch that indicated altitude so we were able to track elevations as we went along). Towards the top, we saw several condors flying overhead, probably thinking we might be on their dinner menu! The following photos will give you an idea of that part of the hike.

DAVID, RICK, TIM, BILL, JIM, AND OUR GUIDE PEDRO
The hike down the mountain and back to the van took another hour or so, and then we headed to a microbrewery owned by a friend of Pedro to try one of their popular local beers, and enjoy a picnic lunch Pedro had brought. . . a great way to end the day!
Great info and pics…what wonderful experience!
