THE LIVING AND DINING AREAS Although the original living room was adequate in size, it was visually separated from the rest of the apartment, with the guest bedroom on one side, and the isolated kitchen on another. The narrow passageway from the Entry Hall also limited its appeal as a pleasant room.
The removal of the guest bedroom, all interior doors, along with the wall separating the kitchen changed all of that. The new open dining area is now positioned at one end of the expanded living room, taking advantage of the 9th floor views of the mountains and southern plains of Colorado; Pikes Peak and Mt. Evans are both visible from the dining room table. The other end of the enlarged Living Room space is anchored by a two-sided entertainment center, which partially conceals the Master Bedroom space. The entertainment center incorporates a two-sided biofuel ventless fireplace with a custom stainless steel surround. The fireplace adds interest and warmth not only to the living area, but also to the adjacent Master Bedroom / Den.
Absolutely gorgeous transformation of your living space….I love it…
